Silicon Mod-MUX-Ring transmitter with 4 channels at 40 Gb/s.
We propose for the first time the Mod-MUX-Ring architecture for microring based WDM transmitter. A prototype Mod-MUX-Ring transmitter with 4 channels and 400 GHz channel spacing is demonstrated and fully characterized at 40 Gb/s channel rate. Under 2.7 V driving voltage, error-free (BER < 10(-12)) operation is achieved on all channels, with 3 dB extinction ratio. Performance comparisons to Lith...

A low-power low-jitter 40-Gb/s transmitter incorporating triple-resonance technique and subharmonically injection -locked CMU is presented. Designed and fabricated in 90-nm CMOS technology, this chip provides 4:1 multiplexing and achieves 454 fs,rms output data jitter while consuming only 325 mW from a 1.5-V supply.
متن کاملCoding for quantum channels with side information at the transmitter
We consider the problem of coding for quantum channels with side information that is available ahead of time at the transmitter but not at the receiver. We find a single-letter expression for the entanglement-assisted quantum capacity of such channels which closely parallels Gel’fand and Pinsker’s solution to the classical version of the same problem. This theorem can also be used to find a low...
متن کاملOn MIMO Fading Channels with Side Information at the Transmitter
Transmission of information over a MIMO discrete-time flat fading channel with an average power constraint is considered. The scenario in which the transmitter alone has knowledge of the fading levels, as side information, is assumed. This knowledge may be provided in either a causal or a non-causal manner. Upper and lower bounds are derived for each of the two cases. The tools developed are ap...
متن کاملCommunication over Channels with Causal Side Information at the Transmitter
This work deals with communication over the AWGN channel with additive discrete interference, where the sequence of interference symbols is known causally at the transmitter. We use Shannon’s treatment for channels with side information at the transmitter as a framework to derive “optimal precoding” and “channel code design criterion” for the channel with known interference at the transmitter. ...
